NEW DELHI: Indian-American Gita Gopinath, the chief economist of the Worldwide Financial Fund, referred to as on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
The assembly comes days after the IMF introduced that she is being promoted as its First deputy managing director.
She would change Geoffrey Okamoto who plans to go away the Fund early subsequent 12 months. Gopinath, who was scheduled to return to her tutorial place at Harvard College in January 2022, has served because the IMF’s chief economist for 3 years.
