Dredging Company of India has signed an settlement with the Cochin Shipyard Ltd to construct a dredger with a capability of 12,000 cubic meter.
In an announcement on Thursday, the Union Ministry for Ports, Delivery and Waterways mentioned that the dredger — first beagle collection, 12 trailing suction hopper dredger — of 12000 cubic meter — shall be developed on the Cochin Shipyard.
“Dredging Company of India has signed a historic ship constructing settlement for the primary ‘make in India’ mission for building of ‘First Beagle Sequence 12 Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger’ of 12000 cubic meter capability at Cochin Shipyard Restricted as we speak in presence of union minister of ports delivery and waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, minister of state Shripad Naik, and the secretary for ports, delivery and waterways, Sanjeev Ranjan,” the assertion mentioned.
