NEW DELHI: Roy Kapur Movies, spearheaded by Siddharth Roy Kapur, former managing director of The Walt Disney Co, has introduced its new slate for 2023.
The manufacturing home will premiere the second season of Rocket Boys, about Indian scientists Homi J. Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai performed by Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh; Pippa, a historic warfare drama set through the Bangladesh Liberation Struggle starring Ishaan Khatter and directed by Raja Krishna Menon; Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan? a comedy with Taapsee Pannu and Pratik Gandhi within the lead and co-produced by Junglee Footage; Bas Karo Aunty, a comedy-drama directed by debutant director Abhishek Sinha, written by Nitesh Tiwari, and co-produced by Tiwari (Earthsky Footage) and RSVP (Ronnie Screwvala Footage) for Disney+ Hotstar.
Aside from these, Roy Kapur Movies has introduced a slate of eight collection productions in varied phases of growth. This features a collection created by Nagraj Manjule of Sairat fame that explores the world of playing. In the meantime, Vishnuvardhan, director of Shershaah, is ready to make his collection directorial debut with an epic motion drama, which can inform the story of part of India’s twentieth century army historical past. Mahesh Narayanan, recognized for Malayalam movies C U Quickly and Malik, will helm a multi-season spy thriller set throughout the Center East and South Asia. Hardik Mehta, director of Kaamyaab, will headline a household drama collection set throughout Europe, Africa, and India set on the planet of warring enterprise households.
Abbas Tyrewala, author of Maqbool and Most important Hoon Na, and director of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, will write and showrun a spy action-drama collection, set on the planet of South Asian counterintelligence.
