Bharti Airtel obtained spectrum allocation letter inside few hours of creating upfront cost to the Division of Telecom, Bharti Enterprises founder and chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal stated on Thursday.
That is the primary time ever that the Division of Telecom (DoT) has handed out a spectrum allocation letter on the day of creating upfront cost.
“Airtel paid ₹8,312.4 crore in direction of spectrum dues and was offered the allocation letter for the designated frequency bands inside hours. E band allocation was given together with spectrum as promised. No Fuss, No Comply with Up, No working across the corridors and No tall claims. That is ease of doing enterprise at work in its full glory,” Mittal stated in a press release.
The Division of Telecom has obtained cost of round ₹17,876 crore from service suppliers — Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, Adani Information Networks and Vodafone Thought for spectrum they received in a latest public sale.
Whereas all telecom operators have opted to make funds in 20 annual installments, Bharti Airtel paid ₹8,312.4 crore equal to 4 annual installments.

Airtel acquired 19,867.8 MHz spectrum by securing a pan-India footprint of three.5 GHz and 26 GHz bands and choose buy of radio waves in low and mid-band spectrum.
